Someone asked me if I am going to keep it real as I continue my quest in music and hit the big time!  Will I leave the hood?  Or will KEEP IT REAL and stay in the hood.  It made me think.  What is keeping it real?  How does one keep it real?  Then came up with my own conclusion. 

Keeping it real does not mean staying impoverished.  Keeping it real is staying true to yourself, striving towards and achieving your goals without forgetting where you come from.  Someone who keeps it real will always give back to his or her community. I believe we all have a responsibility to extend an opportunity to at least one person, just as an opportunity was extended to us.
